Note: In this article and for the purposes of this documentation, ‘SAP’ refers to SAP C4C V1.
Before logging in into Donna and connecting SAP, we strongly recommend to create a dedicated SAP communication system and using the communication system credentials to set up the integration, rather than using your own personal SAP (admin) user account.
On this page, we describe how to create a communication system. Consider these instructions as a recommendation, rather than a strict guideline. Follow your own company policies while creating this user.
Login to SAP and go to Administrator, General Settings, and click on Communication Systems. On the Communication Systems page, click New to create a new communication system.
In the Basic Information section,
Enter an ID, for example “DONNA”.
For Host Name, enter https://wwww.askdonna.com
For System Access Type, select Internet.
Click Save and Close to return to the Communication Systems view.
On the Communication Systems overview page, click on the ID of the newly created communication system. The newly created communication system has status In Preparation.
On the newly created communication system detail page, click Edit.
Click on System Instances.
For Preferred Application Protocol, select 6 - Http.
Click Save.
Click Actions and then Set to Active to change the status to Active.
Login to SAP and go to Administrator, General Settings, and click on Communication Arrangements. On the Communication Arrangements page, click New to create a new communication arrangement.
Select the OData Services for Business Objects communication scenario and click Next.
For System Instance ID, select the communication system created in the previous section and click Next.
For Communication Method, select Direct Connection.
Enable Inbound Communication Enabled.
For Authentication Method, select User ID and Password.
Take note of the User ID shown on this page, as you will need to enter it in Donna in the next section.
Click Edit Credentials.
For Password, enter a strong password and click OK.
Make sure to remember the password you enter on this page, as you will need to use the same password in Donna in the next section.
In the Services Used section, assign the following OData services. Consider these listed services to be an example. Exact services depend on the use cases covered with Donna.

Click Next and review, then click Finish to create the communication arrangement.
Open a web browser and go to https://app.askdonna.com
Login with Google, Microsoft or magic sign in link (If you did not yet receive an invite to Donna, please request an invitation from a colleague who did).
Once logged in, click on Organisation settings and then Integrations. You require an admin or owner role in Donna to see the Organisation settings and Integrations pages.
In the SAP C4C V1 section, enter the Domain, Username and Password and click on Connect.
That's it! The integration is now set up!
